PCCI uses Managed Print Services “MPS” techniques to reduce the cost per print at several of Maine’s largest users of printers and multi functional devices. Under a MPS approach we use our Safe Haven software utility to locate all of the client’s networked print devices and determine the various unit volumes. Using commonly known industry pricing we then evaluate the current price per print being paid. We then give the client our suggestions which can include: upgrading certain equipment for needed features such as scanning or document management interfaces, matching current equipment with area volume requirements for cost, productivity and efficiency, and providing a quotation for PCCI to supply all consumables, parts and service to maintain the equipment. This often eliminates multiple vendors, and it usually results in a hard dollar savings of 25 to 50%! PCCI’s Safe Haven monitoring knows well in advance when a particular machine will need supplies, and shipments are made automatically relieving the client of the need to monitor supply levels and to invest in a stock of supplies at their location.
